LIMINAL Learning Space

There is a space in learning where we step into the unfamiliar and leave the known; where subconcsious consolidation and assimilation is taking place...the moment when it fits together in meaning. It is a step of faith where we feel insecure and uncomfortable but must keep moving as we cannot stay where we are. This process of transformation means that the new doesn't accommodate the old and we have to let go and merge into the revelation, like growing into a garment as yet too big for us. An environment of supportive community provides much needed encouragement and affirmation for learners experiencing the disruption of new discoveries.

"If we don't encounter liminal space in our lives, we start idealizing normalcy." - Richard Rohr
