Classroom teaching has come a long way since my childhood experience of education. We did enjoy some Open Plan classrooms back then and fortunately the philosophy of education has continued to develop in the interests of students and their individuality in learning.
John Marsden, author and the Principal of Candlebark School, in Romsey Victoria says, ‘What we do is be very conscious of the journey towards wisdom and awareness instead of just concentrating on the journey towards knowledge.’
As educators, we endeavour to do much more than just pass on knowledge. To help children succeed in what they are gifted for, according to their learning styles; to help them be lifelong, engaged learners is the teacher's reward.

The goal for me, is to help individuals experience 'LIGHTBULB' moments on a daily basis.
